When was INT Media Group, Incorporated established?
internet.com operated as a business unit of Mecklermedia Corporation until November, 1998, when Mecklermedia was acquired by Penton Media, Inc. Mecklermedia management purchased 80.1% of the Mecklermedia Internet assets simultaneously with the closing of the Penton acquisition. Penton retained a 19.9% interest. internet.com went public in June 1999 and currently trades on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol INTM. The company has more than 400 employees.
internet.com changed its name to INT Media Group, Inc. in May 2001 to more accurately reflect its current business model and continues trading on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol INTM.
